When Tress go Wild

car_crash_0193.jpg

The next time you stop to park your new truck in the yard watch what you park it under. I’m sure it wouldn’t have hurt anything if the tree this truck was parked under wasn’t dead. When a rough wind blows a little harder then usual it will fall, and fall it did. One other suggestion, when a tree does fall on your truck try not to be inside it. It really not a good idea to the either but the latter is the important one to steer clear from. Thankfully the guy is still alive, but he may need a new truck.

Hitched to the Horse Trailer

car_crash_01901.jpg

More then the average tractor-trailer, this horse trailer being pulled by the Dodge, can do some major damage. This poor Buick felt the impairment this horse trailer can do, with his trunk now in his back seat. It’s easy to see how one slam of the breaks can affect a car in this manner yet it only made the ford’s bumper fall off, even though it was the truck’s fault. Where’s the justice in that? Well, he did get his assured clear distance ticket and the fines associated with that. So, I guess it is true what they say, “What you slam into will one day cost you.”

Picking up the Trash

car_crash_0187.jpg

When the garbage truck is out and it’s garbage day here is one bit of advice for you, don’t put your car out for pick up. Unless of course you are looking to get rid of your car, then what the heck do what you want. This monster has no fear, at all, and your truck is merely another piece of tin when you get in its way. So don’t think you can take this bad boy on, even for a minute. Or even feel you can slow him down. You’ll just be another bump in the road. Pick your matches wisely.

The Benefits of Cell Phones

car_crash_0181.jpg

When you hear cell phone companies talk about the benefits of having a cell phone do you ever wonder what they meant? This driver of this pretty ford chevy truck found out today what one major benefit of using a cell phone while driving. If perhaps you consider the front end of your truck being completely wiped out as a benefit then just maybe it could be considered a benefit. Or one of the benefits could have been the BOOK that came with the cell phone which states, “Do not talk while you are driving. Someone could get hurt.” He must have missed that entire section.

Ford vs Brick

car_crash_0160.jpg

When a ford gets attitude there’s no stopping it or trying to talk to it after it’s mind is set. When this truck got an attitude with a brick building there was nothing that could have been done. I mean really, try to stand in this truck’s way. I guess this driver should have realized that there was nothing he could have done, because even Mr. Brakes left when this truck got upset, the nerve of Mr. Brakes to just leave anyway. I wonder if ford has come to realize that the brick wall is definitely stronger then he is. Man, Ford’s do have attitude!

Cars Under Trucks and SUVs

car_crashes_0108.jpg

They have already started to seriously consider how to solve the problem when high SUVs and trucks collide with regular cars. What usually happens is what you see in the picture, which obviously is a lot more dangerous and fatal. The car slides under the truck and usually kills the front passengers. Nine major automakers agreed last Tuesday to begin installing beams that meet a new strength test by September 2009. Ford and DaimlerChrysler didn’t agree to redesign and test the high safety beams. We don’t know anything final yet, but let’s hope all understand the risk.

Truck Crash - Driver Walk

car_crashes_0091.gif

It’s time for some bigger cars, also known as trucks. This one isn’t in the best state it can be as you can see (that rimed), because it accidentally drove over a 40 foot cliff in South Carolina. How can you accidentally drive over a cliff? In a truck? The air blew it away? Anyhow, this is a Peterbilt semi truck and you might notice that the only part holding up some is the driver’s seat place, which also resulted in the driver just walking away from this total mess.

Truck Stops Traffic

car_crashes_0023.jpg

It’s very annoying when something like this happens. I mean a huge truck lies down due to a heavy load or deer or whatever, and blocks the way for several hours and kilometers/miles. I was lucky enough to be on one of those situations, and had to wait in the car for hours. The passenger-friend wanned to mess with the radio and the battery unloaded. Guess what happened when it was time to drive… yes. We had to pull it to the side, of course it was late and no one stopped to help, and we had to run with it until it took off. Phew!

Truck Taking a Nap

car_crashes_0014.jpg

No, this isn’t you thinking your computer shows the picture wrong. It is wrong. Funny, because it doesn’t seem to be crashed or hurt anywhere. More like it wanted a nap and lay upside down for a few minutes, until the driver comes back. The picture of this truck was taken all the way back in 2000, Nashville. Nashville begins to pop up pretty constantly when looking for crashes and I’m not going into why…
