Hitched to the Horse Trailer

car_crash_01901.jpg

More then the average tractor-trailer, this horse trailer being pulled by the Dodge, can do some major damage. This poor Buick felt the impairment this horse trailer can do, with his trunk now in his back seat. It’s easy to see how one slam of the breaks can affect a car in this manner yet it only made the ford’s bumper fall off, even though it was the truck’s fault. Where’s the justice in that? Well, he did get his assured clear distance ticket and the fines associated with that. So, I guess it is true what they say, “What you slam into will one day cost you.”

  18. The car in the photo is not a Buick and it’s also not a Taurus as someone else suggested. It’s a second generation Chevrolet Lumina (1995-2001). I’m 100% certain of this. Look carefully at the shape of the door handle, the bodyside contours in the front door, the shape of the rearview mirror and the just visible wheel cover on the rear wheel. I compared this photo to another photo of an undamaged Lumina to be sure.

The Dodge truck, by the way, is around 1991-1993 vintage. This generation Dodge truck was produced from 1972-1993 and this one has (what’s left of) the final grille style for that generation.
