Half Car Wreck

crash223.jpg

Quite a bit of damage we have here, isn’t it? I wonder how much it would cost to replace the back half of this car. Where is the rest of it? Obviously it was knocked off by something larger at a high speed. I don’t see any tracks, so I guessing that it wasn’t a train. Could it have been a truck? Is it possible for and SUV to do that? It looks like the whole back chunk was just ripped off by construction machinery or something. Do you have any theories?

This was apparently a brand new ferrari that rich mans son totalled with only e few miles on the clock. Engine and rest of car is back down the road. I believe he hit a tree!

This crash was actually one of the rare Ferrai Enzo. This happened in Los Angeles California after the driver was apparently trying to show this car to a possible buyer. This of course is what he told LAPD. The truth was he had highjacked this car from the bank who owned it along with a rare Mercedes Benz GLK without ever paying for these cars. The wife of the guy in the Enzo crash was later stopped (after another accident)and also arrested.

    wtf!!!

  7. assdf Says:

this guy was going near two hundred when he hit a cat, became airborne, colided with a tree, and was dispersed over two miles. the driver was fine, but he was only a kid driving his dads car. poor guy.

  8. adam Says:

It was most likley to be hit by a semi. maby an suv.but i dont think so. not so nice car now!!

  9. brandon Says:

how can they do this to such a beautiful car

  10. person Says:

oh my. that is a FERRARI ENZO! there are only 501 of those in the world! now i guess 499. poor car, but it did its job of disintegrating and protecting the driver, so i guess that’s positive

  11. person Says:

i’m guessing it was just going too fast, spun out, and got the front and rear ripped apart by that steep hill i see.

I saw this accident on the news it happened in Malibu on the infamous Pacific cost highway and was involved in a very high speed police chase no other car was involved thankfully and remarkably the offender walked away from it there is something to be said for the safety of cars that cost as much as a huge brand new home if I remember correctly it was stolen as well, being a Ferrari it was mid engine and the engine as several hundred feet away from the rest of the once beautiful testerossa

  13. Ryan Says:

i no wat hppend the car was going so fast he (Stephan Ericson) ost control and hit a telephone pole sideways

  14. That1Guy Says:

This is not the first pic of a split-in-two Enzo I have seen. The first was just a boxing match between a tree and the Ferrari. http://photocarsonline.com/blog/2007/10/17/top-10-most-expensive-cars-crashes-of-all-time/

I think that there is a serious weakness at the midpoint of the car.

  15. JP Says:

That was one pissed off trooper. He ripped that car in half. lol.

This is the Ferrari Enzo crash in Malibu on the PCH. It was about to be repossessed, so the owner and his friend decided that instead of letting that happen they were just going to kill it. They actually didn’t hit anything. The Enzos are built really weird, I’ve seen a couple accidents where this same thing happened. When they start spinning out of control they separate, because the engine side is so much heavier than the other end. The driver and passenger were fine. They were found sitting on the side of the road waiting for the cops.

the rest of this brand new auto is spread behind us in this picture, you know, engine here, wheel there, etc. rich owners son borrowed it, achieved 200 mph +_ coming off the slight rise in road in background, became air born, left road and hit a telephone pole which destroyed the back half of car which had less than 50 miles on it. amazing thing is that the kid walked away from this…I presume, until he meets dad.

  18. Bryan Says:

The Enzo is designed for the engine and passenger compartment to separate during a high speed crash. The technology is very similar between the Enzo and F1 cars. What you cant see is the engine bay laying in the middle of the road a few hundred feet away. (there are many pictures of this accident)

Also, this is from California, and that Enzo was racing a Mclaren SLR when the Enzo lost control and I believe hit a pole sideways (don’t quote me on that) I also believe due to skid marks, that the highway patrol put the speed of the Enzo at over 120 MPH at the time of the crash

  19. sup Says:

    that is screwed up

  20. Anon Says:

This is a Ferrari Enzo that was being driven by Swedish Mafia Kingpin Stefan Eriksson in an illegal road race against a Mercedes SLR in California. He lost control going over a hill on public roads at about 130. He walked away, and later served prison time.

  21. goobla Says:

just be luck that it wasent one of the super enzos they are even rarer if u get one hold on to it

  22. Tobes Says:

well i really dont think anybody knows what really happened except the person who did it and i dont think he will be able to have a video conference from the underworld so ill leave it at that.

    Laters.
