Icy Car Crash

crash204.jpg

Did you ever see one of those winter accidents?  You know, the ones where it’s the snow’s fault?  Or the ice’s fault?  Driving in the ice and snow should not be approached like regular driving.  Many people try to pretend like slippery roads don’t bother them so they drive extra crazy.  Black ice is a sneaky devil.  When it’s dark out, everything looks normal on the road.  The cold temperatures ice up the roads and make them slippery.  In case you don’t recongnize this one, it’s a Pathfinder.  It’s never a good idea to speed in the winter.  Hold your wheel straight and don’t jam the breaks.

Car vs. Brick Wall

crash203.jpg

It is kind of difficult to determine if there is a winner here between the car and the wall.  Both have considerable damage, and both could possibly be repaired.  At first guess I would say that it’s a tie.  Considering the after effects, there is a good chance that the wall will work the same when fixed, but the car might be a little different.  Depending on how sensitive the engine is, it might still be running.  Talking in terms of money, I’d bet the wall is cheaper to fix than the car.  After these factors, I am starting to think that it is the wall that is winning.  It’s open for interpretation.

Rolling SUV Crash

crash202.jpg

Did you ever try to stand on your head?  Didn’t you hate all the blood rushing to your head?  Or did you like that?  I’ve never tried hanging upside down in an SUV, but it certainly doesn’t look fun.  The top heavy design of SUVs and some hatchbacks just don’t allow for jerking the wheel too quickly.  These vehicles don’t take too kindly to sharp turns either.  Rolling around in a car has got to hurt, at least a little bit.  If you like the head rush, I suppose staying in the car with your seatbelt on might be fun for you.  Don’t stay in there too long, though, you’ll get a headache.

Car vs. Tractor Trailer

crash201.jpg

I’ll give you one reason why you shouldn’t cut off a tractor-trailer: It’s bigger than your car. No one likes being in the shadow of a truck and we all try to race pass them. Sometimes we forget that those trucks can’t break as quickly as we can. I don’t give trucks the right of way, I give them the right of “weight.” Trucks are bigger and I’ll let them have all the extra space they need. It doesn’t matter if they are way in front or way behind, I just don’t want to be next to them. Even if you drive a nice tough SUV, don’t play games with these big boys.

Need a garage?

crash3.jpg

The only time I’ve hear about a car ramming into a house is because some thief was trying to avoid the cops.  Is stealing a car and trying to evade the cops really more intoxicating than alcohol?  It was probably the fastest they ever drove in their life.  I can’t imagine insurance covering recliner chair and wall damage.  Don’t ever leave your car unlocked or it may end up three towns over in somebody’s living room.  For some reason, car thieves just won’t yeild to police.  I don’t think I can possibly get into the mindset of actually believing I can steal a car and lose the cops.  Parking inside of a house doesn’t seem to camouflage too well.

Bumper to bumper

crash02.jpg

There’s nothing like a fresh dent in your beautiful convertible. Sometimes people just drive too close. Tailgating is one way to say, “If I can somehow latch on to this car in front of me, I will get there faster.” Just in case there’s a hard stop, back off a bit, will ya? We all know that some people drive a little bit slower than we would like, especially when we are running late, but rearing someone, unfortunately, won’t save you any time. Just check out this situation. In the age of cell phones, it only takes a minute to call the police, but then you have to wait and give your end of the story, etc. Who has time for that?

Top 10-list for February

February isn’t all about hearts and roses, or being sure that you have the perfect gift for that special someone, although that may help your relationship. But that won’t make a difference here at Total Car Crashes because we don’t care if you got your girl a gift or not we just want to be sure you have seen the best car crash photos the world has to offer.

October has been reported to be the worse month for car accidents; February is a close second for the most car accidents that occur in a given year. And we know it’s not due to all you men rushing out to get your girls roses. But it could be due in part by the conditions of the winter weather and the icy roads. Whatever the case may be here is a breakdown of the top 10 cars accidents that were posted here on Total Car Crashes throughout the month of February.

A Dragster’s Car Crash

car_crash_0200.jpg

Imagine having a vehicle that can do over 200 miles an hour. Now imagine driving at that speed and not crashing. I’m sure we have all seen the photos of Nascar, rally racers or other racecars slamming into walls, other cars, and getting completely smashed to pieces. I really don’t think I would have ever had a chance in a vehicle like and be able to walk again. I don’t know how many times those driver’s heads have been bounced around in all the accidents and how they actually still have a brain cell left in their heads.

A Side Slam

car_crash_0199.jpg

I’ve seen some major head on car crashes, I’ve seen some major rear-end car accidents, I’ve even seen some major cars that have been wrapped around trees and poles. But I can’t say I’ve seen too many major side crashes. Yet, what is harder to imagine, then the pictures of the crash itself, is the fact that those who were in the ford didn’t survive this one. And although those in the Toyota did survive it would be hard pressed to carry the thought of those who didn’t around with you. Especially when the car accident was actually your fault.

Getting the Worse End of the Stick

car_crash_0197.jpg

When thereare two or more cars in an accident someone usually gets the short end of the stick, just as was displayed here in the photo. It looks like the station wagon was the one who got the short end of the stick on this crash, while the suv had any problem making it out of that accident. Accidents happen and while it’s never truly understood why some get an easy way out and others simply have things harder, unless you believe in the laws of attraction. Which introduce the perspective of postive energy working against negative energy.

Could the laws of attraction be at work here? Or simply that someone got the worse end of the stick?
